Welcome to the Exhibits
Upon entering the museum lobby, visitors are greeted by a re-creation of the original arched entrance to the West Baden Hotel Grounds. Through that gateway are the museum's exhibits, Town Gallery, and Circus diorama.
Arched entry is sponsored by Smithville Charitable Foundation.
Arched entrance to the West Baden Hotel (early 1900's) still stands today and was also recreated on a smaller scale to greet visitors to the Museum.
Brochure from 1884 - "Our New Hotel containing 200 Rooms, with new Furniture, Carpets, etc., is now complete and ready for the accommodation of Guests."
