Sprudel Water
French Lick had Pluto, West Baden had Sprudel watching over its mineral springs. The woods gnome became the symbol for the West Baden bottling company and a popular symbol in town. Sprudel never made it quite as big as Pluto but he is immortalized in the priceless Rookwood fireplace in the hotel’s atrium. Sprudel was also the mascot for the hotel’s baseball team.
The exterior of the Sprudel Spring or Spring No. 7. It produced approximately 2,000 barrels of water a day.
